A recent software update for the Beamz Player (version 2.0.6.3020) addresses some of the issues we raised in our review. The update (available for PC only at the moment) is a free download from the Beamz website:

It adds two settings to the Beamz Options screen:
- Beam Width Display – makes the onscreen beams wider for use with eye gaze trackers.
- Disable Controller Buttons – tick boxes to stop the control buttons on the physical controller accessing functions in the software.
It’s great to see Beamz incorporating feedback from users and their own experience in ‘the field’.
